St Mark Knights of Columbus - 2007 Camping

The 2007 St. Mark Knights of Columbus annual family camping trip was held on the sunny southern shores of Lake Dillon during the weekend of August 10 thru 12th. Over 200 came to relax for a weekend of fresh mountain air, georgeous scenery, worship, great food and community. Knight's families, parishioners and guests gathered at the Windy Point reserved USFS group camping facility with tents, trailers and RVs. Scrumptuous community meals were prepared by the Knights and served under the large pavilion. Kids, both young and old, paddled canoes and kayaks, cooked on an open fire, played horseshoes, shared sticky s'mores beside the campfire, and joined in the communion service on Saturday afternoon. Newly elected officers of Council 1498 were installed during an afternoon onsite meeting. Many thanks to Bernie Kuta, Family Program Director, brother knights, and their wives for a wonderful weekend in the high country. The campsite has been reserved for 2009.
