Altar Servers

Altar Servers have been serving Mass from the earliest centuries.
|
|
As an Altar Server, one is noted for both the things they do and the example they give.
Altar Servers are generally recognized first for assisting Father, such as the
receiving of gifts and the setting of the altar. More importantly, though,
the Altar Server is a prayer leader. As a prayer leader, the Altar Server first
is a listener, listening to God.
|
Secondly, as a prayer leader, the Altar Server is a respondent, responding to
prayer and song. In this manner, the Altar Server sets the example for both the
youth and the adults of St. Mark.
