As a Lector/Commentator, you have the task of making God present in the
Liturgy of the Word for the St. Mark Community. When the Word of God is
proclaimed in the assembly, it challenges and comforts, encourages and admonishes.
Your task is to proclaim a Living Word, not simply words on a page.
In the Liturgy, the Christian community depends on the Lector to mediate an
encounter with God. You must make the text come alive for your listeners.
