May my behavior and the attitude of my heart reflect holy
honor as I strive to serve in a sacred way

This ministry is not only that of “official assistant” to the clergy, it
is a particular way of exercising your baptismal priesthood.
You are among your fellow worshipers as one who serves. As a Eucharistic
Minister, you serve God by distributing the Precious Body and Blood
of Jesus Christ to the congregation during Mass, to shut-ins and to
Catholic patients at neighboring hospitals and nursing homes.
It is a joy and a privilege to do this. Imagine what greater gift
could one give their fellow Catholics.

For those with gluten-restricted diets, please see the sacristan before Mass
to make arrangements for low-gluten host distribution during communion.

Celiac Sprue disease on their
